A place, not scenery

Taverns and inns are assembled from world blocks, furniture and stations. Residents can use counters, tables, chairs and beds through their routines. Players use the same contextual interaction system for sitting and interacting with objects.

Trade with the neighborhood

Vendors have stock and residents have needs; a harvester’s supplies feed local exchange rather than an unlimited abstract shop. Relationship and village terms can affect trade. Check a purchase’s actual inventory instance and price before confirming.

Guests and neighbors

NPC dialogue and local quests are informed by personality, ancestry and remembered events. A frontier victory can improve settlement support, while a breach can produce unrest. Read the journal for the named community involved rather than assuming every settlement shares one mood.
