A nearby settlement

Physical frontier consequences select a living settlement within the event’s bounded local area, preferring a real settlement over a closer wandering camp. If no settlement qualifies, a camp may be the fallback. The result belongs to that world.

Relief or unrest

A gate breach reduces support and increases unrest. Sealing a dungeon guardian or a final rift brings relief; an invasion warning creates anxiety, while genuine withdrawal or death can worsen it. Technical approach failures are not treated as a player’s abandonment.

Read the actual change

Settlement values have bounds. The frontier chronicle records the actual applied change, not an impossible amount beyond those limits. A guardian defeated by another actor can still relieve a village without awarding you invented personal quest credit.
