Talk to a person

Use the contextual Talk action within reach and line of sight. NPCs remember individual travelers, rather than treating every member of a co-op party as the same hero. Personality influences requests and responses; ancestry is context, not a fixed moral verdict.

Accept before acting

Frontier commissions bind to a discovered gate or an active local rift. Their objectives refer to the named encounter and fresh progress after acceptance. A stale offer may no longer be available when the event changes. Read the offered reward and the aftermath choices first.

Choices stay local

A fulfilled promise can change trust, karma, settlement support, unrest and market terms. Consequences are previewed when you choose an aftermath. The journal records the witness, world and encounter so that a village’s response remains legible later.
