Read the warning, not the element

A gate’s color indicates escalation, not the element of the realm beyond it. Active world time advances it from Blue · Slumbering to Yellow · Stirring after five minutes and Red · Unbound after ten. After a further ninety-second grace, red gates can begin breach checks; purple means a breach has happened, not an extra difficulty tier.

Prepare an expedition

Yellow guardians have 1.5× health and 1.25× damage; red guardians have 2.2× health and 1.6× damage relative to blue. Guard quotas rise from four to seven to ten. Reward scaling also rises, but an early clear is the safer way to protect nearby residents.

A pocket, not a world swap

Entering a gate takes the party to a block-built dungeon pocket belonging to the same world. The expedition keeps its arrival difficulty while occupied; returning later cannot lower a previously locked difficulty. Puzzles, traps, themed residents and hidden rooms reward more than a straight run to the boss.
